Timex Global Trainer's PERFORMANCE MODE
- Used for single activity workouts, Performance Mode can display up to four windows of performance data on five customizable screens. More than 40 pieces of information are available from GPS-based speed, distance and altitude to performance pacers, interval timers and information from heart rate or bike sensors.
MULTISPORT MODE feature of the Timex Global Trainer
- Used for established workouts and event sequences, Multisport Mode minimizes user involvement during a workout or event by allowing the user to preprogram different display modes and connect with different sensors for each segment. Pressing DWN/STP/RST in Multisport Mode will transition the watch to accommodate the next segment’s data and sensor requirements.
NAVIGATE with the Timex Global Trainer
- Harness the positional power of GPS to display current location, capture and manage waypoints to create routes and track back. Measure pace based on saved routes and see an in-motion compass heading or “bread crumb” map based on your course.
REVIEW your Timex Global Trainer training session data
- Review workout results organized by date and time for up to 20 workouts with a maximum total of 1,000 laps of data across several dimensions.
CONFIGURE the way you want your Timex Global Trainer to operate
- The Global Trainer™ watch is highly customizable. User settings allow the watch to calculate calories burned, set max heart rate and target zones; as well as display the user’s language and preferred time/date format. Hands-free operation automatically starts, stops, logs splits and resumes based on pace, speed, distance and time. Audible and visual alerts are available for six performance criteria. GPS settings provide smoothing customization and show satellite location and signal strength. Bike setup allows the watch to calibrate and track calories burned, speed, distance and cadence along with establishing power meter thresholds, units and zones.
Your Timex Global Trainer is CONNECTED to the online world
- Two-way communication between the Timex Global Trainer™ watch and computer sends workout data to an online training log powered by Training Peaks (see www.fitnessdaily.co.uk to create an account), where information, analysis, maps and graphs can be viewed
WEEE Regulations
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment.
The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.
- The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK.
- Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health.
- Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.
Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.
Pete Bland Sports is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us.
For example, if a customer bought a new headtorch from us we would accept their old headtorch and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item.
Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol shown below:

Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
