Recovery
The recovery phase is just as important a phase of the exercise cycle as preparation and activity as the body needs time to effectively rest, repair and recover ready for your next session. This is the time to top-up your energy stores and replenish electrolytes and carbohydrates lost during exercise.
It is not always possible to eat immediately following exercise and it is then that recovery drinks prove useful as they are easily digestible. If you prefer, an evening drink such as Nocte can be used to aid sleep and recovery. Taste and consistency is important and recovery drinks can afford to be a little sweeter and of a thicker consistency than energy and hydration products.
